Piggy Birthday Card

Hello Everyone!  Today is my day to post over at My Craft Spot.  Today I am sharing a cute little shape card made for a Piggy Birthday Party!
I used my Gypsy and Create A Critter to weld and cut this darling little piggy using American Crafts textured cardstock! I outlined the entire card front to make her stand out and some cute little googly eyes.  Her nose is popped with a dimensional and I added a little rhinestone necklace for more a little more dimension!

I added a little flag and the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from My Craft Spot's Inside & Out - Set #2 stamp set which is attached using a glue dot.

The little birthday hat is trimmed in My Craft Spot's Candied Orange Crinkle Ribbon and Orange Divine Twine and adhere with glue lines.
I even added a little curly tail to the back made with Cotton Candy Divine Twine!  I used scotch brand quick dry craft glue and rolled the twine around a pencil to get the curly effect.  After it was semi dried, I pulled it off and adhere it to the piggies bottom!  I think the birthday girl is going to love it!

The inside of the card is finished off with this perfect sentiment from My Craft Spot's Birthday Wishes Stamp set!

Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit today!  Be sure to visit My Craft Spot again tomorrow for another fun Flashback Friday!

This card was created using Stampin' Up! Solid Cardstocks, MME striped background, a frame from Once Upon a Princess, and the flower vase is from Kate's ABCs. I started out by cutting out my pieces with my Cricut, then I machine sewed my borders. The frame and vase are both popped up using SU dimensionals and I stamped then cut the sentiment frame using the spellbinders oval dies. The crinkle ribbon accent is My Craft Spot's Deep Purple and I finished the card off with pearl accents.

This darling Twin Baby card was made using Pink Bubblegum Crinkle Ribbon and Cotton Candy Divine Twine both available at My Craft Spot. I embossed the SU cardstock using the swiss dots folder and the MME pattern paper is machine sewed on. I stamped the sweet sentiment then used my SU punch to cut it out. The little giraffes are from the Sugar & Spice Cricut cart and I added doodling and chalking to make them stand out.

So this is my favorite from the week! I LOVE the layers on this little cutie! All the cardstock is SU. I started by cutting the little monkey from the Everyday Paper Dolls Cricut cart and random bamboo/grass cuts from Create A Critter. I outlined them all to make them stand out. I embossed my background with the tiles folder and mounted it on a white background. Then I added some eyelets with the crop-a-dile, layered my cuts and added this amazing trim I found in my MIL's stash. After layering, I tied the bakers twine vine through the eyelets as seen below.
The background is then mounted to the card base using dimensionals and you can easily pull on the string to get the vine to move. The monkey is attached to the vine using a small circle punch, glue dot and the little guy is ready to climb!!
I hope you enjoyed the projects and they have inspired you to create! Check out all the new sets available at My Craft Spot and thank you again for all your support! Have a great day!

My Craft Spot Stamp Release Party Day 2 - Thank You

Good morning everyone!  Day 2 of the week long Stamp Release Party at My Craft Spot!  Today we are sneak peeking another great stamp set!  This set is called Thank You and what a FANTASTIC set it is!  I work very hard to teach my girls the importance of appreciation, so we make a tremendous amount of thank you cards in our house!  I was super excited the day these arrived and got to work on a set of cards to give to our friend at the local quilt shop.  We went to pick up fabric to make my oldest daughters new Regalia and she gave us all the fabric!  I was so touched by this guesture of kindness and knew we needed to show her our appreciation.  What better way then making her not only a thank you card, but also a set of cards she can use herself so my daughter and I got to work!  Here is our sneak peak of the new Thank You Stamp Set!
This was such a fun and easy card set to make!  My daughter picked out a summery pattern paper which is a retired Stampin' Up! DSP.  She cut each of the little triangles while I worked on sewing the borders, adhering them to the base and stamping each one with a different sentiment from the new Thank You stamp set.
The banner and coordinating twine were easily attached using glue dots/lines and we made the matching envelopes with the Martha Stewart score board.  After looking at the pictures, I thought the cards needed a little more dimension, so I ended up adding another pop of triangles on the banners!  Here are more close ups of all the cards in the set!

I know I would love receiving a thank gift like this and I'm positive she will love her new set of cards too!  I hope you enjoyed my sneak peek of the new Thank You stamp set!  There are more amazing sneak peeks from Kimberly and the Design Team over at My Craft Spot and a chance to win a fun prize!  All the new sets will be revealed and available for purchase on Saturday along with our fun Blog Hop!  Thanks for stopping by today and please stop back again tomorrow!

My Craft Spot Stamp Release Party Day 1 - Tiny Tags 2 & Tiny Tags Metal Dies

Good morning!  Are you ready for a fun week of sneak peeks, inspiration and great prizes?  Today starts the week long Stamp Release Party at My Craft Spot ...woohoo!! Kimberly is releasing another group of amazing stamps and the DT has been having a blast playing around with them so we can show them off for you!  Today's sneak peek is of the new set, Tiny Tags 2 and a fun set of Tiny Tags Metal Dies.  These dies are a great addition to the new stamp set as well as the Tiny Tags set available at My Craft Spot!  I have had so much fun playing with the Tiny Tags 2 stamp set and Tiny Tags Metal Dies!  Here is my sneak peek.

This card ended up a little larger than the standard size (it is 6x6) but I love how it turned out!  I made a simple background by covering half the card with pattern paper and sewing it down.  I really wanted the tags to be the focal point of this project so I grabbed a bunch of scraps from my 6x6 MME paper pads and went crazy cutting a rainbow of tags with the new Tiny Tags Metal Dies set!

Then I added coordinating twine to each tag, stamped them with a fun sentiment from Tiny Tags 2 and popped them on the background with dimensionals.

The center sentiment was inked with Stampin' Write Markers and cut out with an Oval Spellbinder die.  It was quick and simple card to create but I love the rainbow of color!

I hope you enjoyed my card for today and that it inspires a fun rainbow project for you!  Be sure to stop by My Craft Spot if you haven't already seen the amazing Sneak Peek projects made by Kimberly and the DT using the new Tiny Tags 2 and Tiny Tags Metal Dies!  All the new sets will be revealed and available for purchase on Saturday along with our fun Blog Hop! Thanks for stopping by today and please stop back again tomorrow!

My Craft Spot Monday Challenge #62 - 4th of July and Canada Day

Good Morning Everyone!  To all my Canadian friends, I hope you had a happy and safe Canada Day  and to my friends here in the USA, Happy 4th of July this week!!  This week we are celebrating the fine countries we live in!  Our Monday Challenge this week is 4th of July and Canada Day!  Here is my 4th of July card.

I was looking for a fun sparkler to cut with my Cricut but decided to make my own out of Crinkle Ribbon instead!  I love how it turned out!

I even got some good use out of my Christmas stamps for this card! The sentiment on the star comes from My Craft Spot's Merry Christmas set and the stars stamped on the base of the card come from My Craft Spot's 'Tis the Season stamp set.   I cut the star from Plantin School Book cart and addded some doodling around it.

I found a scrap of shimmer paper for the background and embossed it with a stars folder then sewed it on.  The sparkler was created with a stick by tying three bows using Cranberry, Snow White and Navy Blue Crinkle Ribbon and a bow with Airmail Divine Twine all available at My Craft Spot (except the stick which came from my yard).

Make sure you stop by and check out the rest of the AMAZING Canada Day and 4th of July projects at My Craft Spot this week and share your projects with us for your chance to win a fabulous prize!  Speaking of fabulous prizes, don't forget to mark your calendars!  You are invited to the Stamp Release Party coming up next week at My Craft Spot! There will be amazing projects each day and fun prizes all week long! We will be ending the week with a Blog Hop on Saturday and the full release of the stamp sets. Mark your calenders and come join us for some fun!  Thanks for stopping by today!
